Samsung UN65H7150 65-Inch 1080p 240Hz 3D Smart LED TV

Working in the high tech industry over the last 40+ years, I've been delighted and amazed by the advances in technology, especially around entertainment products. Remembering the black & white sets of old and looking at this amazing product, I sometimes can't believe Star Trek technology is here today. This device is everything I wanted. Thin, attractive, bright, and sharp with the latest/greatest Linux-based technology driving its functions and applications. The picture is so sharp, it is almost surreal. Some people call it the "soap opera effect," because the picture is so high resolution it looks real. At first it was a bit jarring, but now that I've adapted, I can't imagine watching anything else. There are options to "tone down" the unbelievable vividness and sharpness of the picture, but why buy this level of technology then bring it down? Watching some of my favorite shows, I can actually read a cell phone screen the character is holding. Of course, I had to try 3D and popped in several of my favorite movies. Equally amazing! The 3D picture is bright and sharp. The new styled 3D glasses are lightweight and comfortable. They're so thin and light you almost don't notice they are there. VIZIO E320-A1 32-inch 720p 60Hz LED HDTV

I bought this little TV for my bedroom. My two younger sons use it to watch movies and my wife and I use it to watch TV at night before falling asleep. I was skeptical of buying a television off the internet, but I have been pleasantly surprised. I don't care for anything fancy or big, so this TV was the perfect choice. It took a little while to get used to the sound, as it is different from my older TV, but now it sounds normal. It can also be hooked up to external speakers, which I do from time-to-time. On another TV I had a few years back, you couldn't control the volume with the remote control if you had external speakers plugged in, but you can with this model. I don't know if it was just the TV I had before, or all newer TVs support this now. One thing that bugs me to death about it, is the only button I have found is on the back and it only works the input devices! I have looked all over this thing and cannot find a power button, volume buttons, or channel buttons anywhere. That doesn't mean they aren't there, but if they are, Vizio did a wonderful job hiding them! The picture quality is good. I only have standard cable so I don't what HD cable looks like. The TV stand is a little awkward. It is a curved bar that runs across the bottom from corner to corner and the TV leans back against it; making the TV lean at an angle of about 5-10 degrees. I thought it might would originally affect the picture quality, but it doesn't. My only worry is that my 2-year-old is going to pull it off on himself. This is our third Samsung TV and we could not be happier. The picture is absolutely gorgeous and features eliminate the need for other accessories (dongles) to access the internet and subscription video services such as Hulu, Netflix etc. Capabilities are impressive The on set e-manual would be easier to use if one could download it to a PC rather than read it on the TV. .
